fischer Power-Fast screws in A2 and A4 rustproof steel - Completely weatherproof

Be it a beach hut terrace, a pergola in the garden, a tree stand for hunters or roof hooks for photovoltaic modules – the new fischer Power-Fast wood construction screws made of A2 and A4 stainless steel are ideal for challenging outdoor applications. Available in a countersunk and flange head variant, they are a new addition to the fischer Power-Fast range which offers a diverse range of applications to planners and processors – along with all crucial permissions, including for use in timber constructions.
fischer is offering its new premium screws in a wide variety. The flange head versions are available in diameters of 6 and 8 mm in A2 with lengths of 40 to 200 mm. Their extra-large flange heads increase the load-bearing capacity while preventing the head from being pulled through the fixture. Planners and processors also have a choice of a 6 and 8 mm diameter when it comes to the countersunk head variant, as well lengths ranging from 40 to 200 mm in A4 and 40 to 300 mm in A2. The milling ribs underneath the countersunk head with internal TX star recess provide a smooth and optically appealing surface finish.
Timber screws designated for outdoor use must meet particularly high requirements as they are in part exposed to high fluctuations in humidity. Depending on the type of wood, the wood’s tannic acid can also impair the screws. The fact that the fischer Power-Fast screws can withstand these strains is confirmed by the European Technical Approval (ETA-11/0027) which have classified the screws as service class 3 in accordance with Eurocode 5. Applications in coniferous and deciduous timbers (beech, oak and ash) are also regulated through the ETA.
fischer focused on easy assembly, maximum load-bearing capacity and safety when developing the screws. The shank ribs reduce the screwing resistance. The double thread enables the screw to be screwed in close to the edge while significantly reducing the risk of the wood splitting. The thread reaches into the tip and ensures a fast bite even on hard surfaces, such as laminated chipboards or in deciduous timber.
Alongside the 6 mm and 8 mm stainless steel versions, the fischer Power-Fast wood construction screws are also available in a zinc-plated variant with a hex head, countersunk head or flange head, with lengths varying between 40 to 400 mm and in diameters of 6, 8 and 10 mm. The fischer programme module WOOD-FIX, part of the FIXPERIENCE software family, provides support to users for the quick calculation of timber connections using the fischer Power-Fast wood construction screws, which includes a feature to determine the wind and snow load zone upon entering a postcode.
